General Safety Rules
1. If more than one shooter is at any range there must be one individual
designated as the Range officer for safety.
2. Actions should always be open until shooting.
( ex. While carrying firearm from vehicle to firing line. )
3. BEFORE! anyone goes down range the firing line must be
CLEAR:,
actions must be open; guns must have a chamber flag and / or be put on the safe table or in a gun rack. Step back from the firing line. Absolutely no guns handled while anyone else is down range. No persons are to be forward of the firing line during firing. 4. The three Basic NRA Safety Rules apply:
1. Always keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction.
2. Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot. 3. Don't load your gun until you are ready to use it. 5. Eye and Ear Protection is recommended by the Executive Committee. 6. Make Room for Others and be Courteous to Others. 7. Firing at any Object other than Paper, or Authorized Targets is
Strictly Forbidden! ( Examples of forbidden targets, Tannerite, rocks, cement blocks, glass, or metal containers )
8. Know your target and what's beyond it. This means Observing your prospective area of firing before you shoot. Do not shot at range props, or anything other than Approved Targets.
( Example NO Target Stands, Stage Signs, or Facades. )
9. On match Days and set up Days, prior to match days, some bays may be
closed. Club Ranges may be opened to law enforcement for training.
10. NEVER ! use Alcoholic Beverages or drugs before or while handling firearms. This includes some prescriptions and over the counter medications which may impair normal functions. See NRA Gun Safety Rule # 5 11. Under No circumstances will the gate combination be given to
Nonmembers!!!
Any Member who gives the gate combination to a Non-Member MAY BE DISBARRED from the club ! 12. Membership's include, a family, spouses, and dependents. Members using the Range should be prepared to show their membership card, if asked by any other member if asked. Guests are welcome under member's supervision. Any member may bring up to ( 2 ) guests on any occasion. Members may bring an individual as a guest a maximum of ( 3 ) times, after which membership is expected. Members shall bear the full responsibility of their family and guests safety and conduct. Guests shall not be given access to the range by themselves. Should unaccompanied guest be shooting, they will be asked to leave. The member that allowed access may be disbarred from the club.

Range Rules
Hours: 9:00 a.m. to Sunset
I. Club House & Indoor Range:
1. Used only for club functions, meetings & training etc. 2. Only officers or authorized qualified members. 3. Facilities are not to be used for public or personal parties.
II. Action Pistol & Cowboy Ranges
( all outdoor Pistol Ranges ) 1. Can be used any time other than Club scheduled shoots.
( check match schedules on internet or club mail outs )
2. The use of high powered center fire 'MAGNUM' pistol loads are prohibited at any pistol range. 3. The use of high-powered center fire rifles or any shotguns are prohibited at any pistol range. Rim fire .22 Cal. rifles are permitted on these ranges. 4. Any loads damaging steel or target frames are not to be used. 5. Members shooting are expected to pick-up all empty eases, targets,
and trash. Put back any target frames, in-proper place.
CARRY IN CARRY OUT! 5. Shooting any glass targets is prohibited, as is shooting
Stage Signs and Facades.

III. Rifle Ranges
100 Yard Range and 400 Yard Range 1. Can be used any time other than Club Scheduled Shoots or Events. 2. All brass must be picked up and put in brass bucket.
Any paper targets must be carried home or put in trash,
any aluminum or steel cases are to be put in trash, also. 3. No Target brought to range can be left at the range.
CARRY IN CARRY OUT!
4. Targets and Staple Guns must be brought to range by shooter. 5. One bench rest per shooter. 6. All targets will be at NO Less Than 50 Feet from the firing line on the 100 yard range. 7. All targets will be at NO Less Than 25 Yards from the firing line on the 400 yard range. 8. At the 400 Yard Range, when the firing line is declared Safe / COLD, members may proceed down range after placing the white flag in the holder. Only the designated R.O. may remove the white flag and declare the firing line HOT with a Red flag. 9. Fully automatic and devices designed to simulate fully automatic firearms are prohibited.
IV. Shotgun Fields
Open shooting during club hours for Skeet, Trap, & Sporting Clays, Tues: 4 p.m., until Dark Sun: 9 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. ( approximately )
V. .22 Long Rifle Rim Fire Gallery Ranges
1. No one goes down range EVER ! 2. Use .22 short, .22 long, and .22 long rifle ONLY ! 3. .17 caliber and 22 magnum are prohibited. |
